Getting to know your librarians – Erica

What should we call you?

Where can we find you?

Why teen services?
Teens ROCK my world!

Favorite reference resource (print and/or online)?
Library web page b/c there are all the databases and electronic resources 24/7 — I like Ask A Librarian, but I’m embarrassed to use it since I AM a librarian! I like how the library webpage has links to most of the information, especially articles in one place. I don’t use print reference a tremendous amount. The print resource that I tend to use at home over and over is Sunset Western Garden book.

Favorite book of all time and favorite book right now?
I really cannot answer this question — I have NO idea! I can’t pick one, or even a genre —
Favorite book right now – Facebook J

You live in Seattle – To umbrella or not to umbrella?
Absolutely NOT! Embrace your weather, accept what is, go with the flow

The best thing about living in Seattle is…
My community that I have known for over 30 years

We know you love Seattle but where would you most like to live?
On a little island somewhere nearby… as soon as possible, please!

What is your favorite word?

What is your motto?
I have two. Since I didn’t answer the favorite book question, can I have two mottos?

“Do something every day that scares you.”

“Outside of a dog, books are a man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read.”  Attributed to Groucho Marx.

A friend just told me that the “Do something every day that scares you,” is a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt. That’s cool!
