Getting to know your librarians – Ken

Then...

Then…

What should we call you?
Ken

Where can we find you?
High Point

Why teen services?
Teens are in the midst of creating the future world.
Teen programming is the most creative, fun and entertaining.

Favorite reference resource (print and/or online)?
Brainfuse.com. Where else can you text a tutor and get instant results from an expert?

Favorite book of all time and favorite book right now?
My fav book of all time one that has been banned all over is Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya. A teen and adult classic of the battle between good and evil. Still gives me chills when I read it. Mr Anaya left me a voice mail saying he loves Seattle but would not be able to travel anymore to do a program for teens here. Right now, I like Suckerpunch by David Hernandez.

You live in Seattle – To umbrella or not to umbrella?
Umbrellas get caught in the wind and then you end up on the cover of the Seattle Times looking silly!

The best thing about living in Seattle is…
Spring is so long and beautiful.

...Now!

…Now!

We know you love Seattle but where would you most like to live?
Australia, I have never been, but would love to. Mexico would be second.

What is your favorite word?
Salbutes: Mexican hors d’oeuvres food: all kinds of goodies on a fresh tortilla.

What is your motto?
!Sí se puede!, “Yes, we can!” the motto of Cesar Chavez! (Think about that!)
