Author: Lauren Oliver
I started reading it because . . . it has an interesting main idea, which is that love is a disease. And because it is a futuristic book.
I kept reading because . . . I was hooked on the forbidden, budding love between the main character Lena and a mysterious teenage boy.
Main character(s): If they were in a yearbook, they would be voted Most Likely To: If Lena were in a yearbook she would be voted most likely to date the bad boy.
Six Word Recap: Forbidden love forces Lena to escape.
This book reminded me of: Matched and the Uglies trilogy since they take place in a futuristic society where the government has wide-reaching control and the society is drastically different from the current society.
