Teen Reviewed: A Dog’s Journey

dogsjourneyTitle: A Dog’s Journey
Author: W. Bruce Cameron

Summary: This book, A Dog’s Journey, is the sequel to the book A Dog’s Purpose. In this book, Buddy figures out that he is a good dog. He took care of his owners, no matter how long or short he was with them. He thinks he figured out his purpose in life (or lives,) to take care of Ethan, right? But as he watches Ethan’s granddaughter Clarity, he knows that baby Clarity needs a dog of her own. When he is reborn, Buddy is over-joyed to see Clarity, now a teenager. As Clarity, or CJ as she prefers to be called, navigates life, Buddy is there to support her. As the inside flap of the book cover says, “Do we really take care of our pets, or do they take care of us? A Dog’s Journey is the moving story of unwavering loyalty and a love that crosses all barriers.”

If the characters were in a yearbook, they would be voted Most Likely To… Buddy: Be Most Loyal.
