Teen Space @ Southwest

Teen SpaceNeed a space to be creative and have fun? Come to Teen Space @ Southwest. This month we’ll be creating temporary tattoos with henna and creating a display for the library for Banned Books week. Of course, we’ll have our regular line up of Teen Space activities: snacks, games, art, books, and conversation, too.

  • Denim Madness @ Northgate 2 – 4 p.m. Something old, something new. Bring in old jeans to craft decorative pillows and bags. We’ll provide the bling and supplies; you bring the denim and creativity!” For tweens and teens.
  • Recycled Tees @ High Point 2 – 4 p.m. Have a t-shirt that needs a makeover? Create a unique piece of art that you can wear! Bring in your shirt and make it over with supplies provided by the Library. For tweens and teens. Registration is required.
  • Ukalaliens!Greenlake 11 a.m – 12 p.m. Learn to play familiar folk song on the ukelele in one hour. Absolute beginners welcome! Ukes available to share or bring your own. For tweens, teens, and adults.

  • Images of China @ Douglass-Truth  10:30 – 11:30 a.m.  Experience an amazing Chinese puppet show preformed by the renowned puppet masters from Dragon Art Studio.  For all ages.
  • Henna Art @ Miller Community Center  1 – 3 p.m.  Create and wear great looking art!  Get a henna design while you explore traditional and modern henna with artist Anjali Remme.  For tweens and teens.
  • Images of ChinaGreenwood  1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Experience an amazing Chinese puppet show preformed by the renowned puppet masters from Dragon Art Studio. For all ages.
  • Circus 101 @ Lake City Community Center  2 – 3 p.m.  Spend an hour learning the basics of juggling, balance, slapstick and clowning with teaching artist from Teatro ZinZanni.  For ages 12-18.  Registration is required.

  • Books on Bikes @ Cyclefest 5 – 10:45 pm.  The Seattle Public Library’s Books on Bikes will be at Cyclefest.
